Most people should close one eye to focus on the sights, I have never had to do that because I have been legally blind in one eye since birth. Once you get used to the sights, the recoil and the trigger pull, anyone should be able to make good scores. just a few shots should clue you in as the way the gun performs. I really like 22 caliber because they are fairly light weight bullets and very fast, not much drop for long distances when you have a fairly long barrel, 4 inches or longer. My favorite pistol is a Ruger single six convertible with a nine and a half inch barrel. It has adjustable sights and can be adjusted for drop and trigger pull. at 100 feet there is too little drop to worry about. I'm right handed and it takes years to develop a smooth trigger pull to keep from drawing rightward and if you are left handed it will be leftward. I'm just not concerned about a 3/8 of a inch at 75 feet. close enough to hit most buttons on a shirt. a scope and a silencer on that gun would make it just about the perfect weapon.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7877849.post-78259652236456943622017-01-24T01:00:55.054+10:002017-01-24T01:00:55.054+10:00Lots of people are bad shots.

I have guns that were made back in the 1940s and they still work fine. I have other guns that are reproductions that go back to the 1850s. I would rather use a cap and ball than a new plastic gun. take care of the metal guns and they will out last you. I think my guns have class and the style can't be beat. I have single shots, single actions, bolt actions, lever actions, semi automatics and pumps. I'll put them up against the new short barreled plastic guns any day.

One of my neighbors is an LA cop, He and his brother went plinking one day and asked me along. they set up a soda can about ten feet away to shoot at. they shot at it several times then handed me the gun and said see if you can hit it. I laughed and they looked at me kind of funny because I hit the can the first shot. I mean it was only about ten feet away and they did not hit it. with my guns I could have hit it fast draw.
