AL:Calera police: Shots fired during home invasion


CALERA, AL (WBRC) -

Calera police are investigating a home invasion in which shots were fired Thursday morning.

Calera Police Chief Sean Lemley says two armed Hispanic males broke into a home in the 300 block of Pilgreen Drive just before 9 a.m. A Hispanic family of four, including a couple and two children ages 9 years old and four months, were inside at the time of the invasion.

Police say the victim was also armed and fired three or four shots during the home invasion. The family is OK and no one was hurt, officials say.
