A robbery suspect was held at gunpoint by a car owner when he was allegedly caught trying to break in to the vehicle, said police.
On Feb. 18, at about 5:30 p.m., the Bakersfield Police Department received several calls regarding a person pointing a gun at a another person who was lying on the ground on Chester Avenue.
Officers said they got there and questioned both people.
Officials said after investigation that the person with the gun stopped the suspect, 33-year-old Jason Perrette, while he was trying to break into his vehicle and was holding the suspect until officers arrived.
