Home invasion of Wright State students turns into an altercation: one invader wounded, one dead

The home of two Wright State students was invaded Monday evening in Fairborn, ending with one of the alleged intruders dying from a gunshot wound.

According to a Dayton Daily News article published Monday and updated Tuesday afternoon, “Police said Tuesday that it is still a bit unclear what prompted the five individuals, ages 19 to 23, to force their way into the Victoria Avenue home while brandishing a fake plastic gun.”

The article continues, “Two Wright State students were home when the intruders entered. Trent Seitz, 21, reportedly struggled with the men and was ordered to the floor. He called out for his roommate, Christopher Muse, who told police that he grabbed a gun and fired at the men.”

Ta’Vaun Fambrough and Anthony Barwick II were both wounded during the altercation as they struggled with Seitz and Muse. Fambrough was sent to Miami Valley Hospital, where he later died from a gunshot wound to his chest. Barwick was treated and released from the hospital, according to the DDN.

  1. Ta'Vaun? Hmm. That's one for the Hall Of Fame. Alphabetically, that comes before Trayvon.

  2. I live in Dayton, very near the WSU campus. The DDN may have covered this, but it never made it to broadcast (tv) news. But, that's what I get for living in a bastion of liberal dimwits.
