The men involved in the assault and shooting incident at the Hurry Back Mart, 3200 Louisville Avenue, on Monday morning remained hospitalized in serious but stable condition.
Monroe Police Sgt. Mark Johnson said Terry Harris, 42, approached the unnamed victim around 10:30 a.m. as he was pumping gas.
Harris attacked the victim repeated with a hockey stick, causing serious head wounds. Why Harris attacked the victim is unknown.
The victim produced a firearm, shot Harris once in the torso and fled the scene in his vehicle.
