KS:Resident Shoots Intruder Armed with Knife

Police were still looking for an intruder who was apparently shot by a resident in south Wichita on Wednesday morning, police said.

The man returned to his house to find two men inside after they came through a window.

One of the intruders confronted the resident with a knife, prompting the resident to fire at least two shots at him.

A bloody shirt was found at the scene, a Sedgwick County dispatch supervisor said.
