Around 5:20 a.m. officers were called to the 2400 block of Liberty
Avenue in reference a home-owner shooting a suspect as he tried to
burglarize his vehicle. The homeowner's motion detector went off and he
stepped out to check on it. He saw a man on his property. The man
charged the homeowner and the homeowner fired one shot that struck the
suspect somewhere in the lower chest area. The suspect fled the scene.
