Authorities said the boyfriend was in bed asleep with his girlfriend
when she woke and saw her ex standing in the bedroom at the foot of the
bed with a pistol in his hand, according to the preliminary
investigation. The boyfriend also woke up, grabbed his pistol and a
shootout ensued. Both men were struck. Investigators said the girlfriend
had a previous relationship with the suspect, and he had made a key to
her residence without her consent.
