The shooting happened just before 2 a.m. at 928 Erie Street. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene inside the house. His girlfriend was taken into custody at the scene, said West Precinct Sgt. Michael Kennedy. "We know some kind of physical altercation took place inside,'' he said.
Authorities afternoon ruled the shooting justifiable.
