Followup MN: No Charges for Shooter in Northfield Incident
The Rice County Attorney’s Office decided not to file charges against the woman involved in a fatal Northfield shooting in August, the Northfield Police Department said in a press release Friday.
The Rice County Attorney’s Office determined it could not prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the person involved in the shooting was not acting in self-defense, the release said. The incident took place Sunday, Aug. 14 at a Jefferson Road residence in Northfield, leaving 61-year-old Lilly Marie Kirckof dead.
