OH: Man Fires Warning Shots to Drive-off Suspect

The man armed himself with a pistol and investigated, finding the front door of the home was open and the unidentified white male — described as 20 to 30 years old, 5-foot-6 and about 120 pounds, with a thin build and short light-colored hair — was inside.

The man was wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt and carrying a dark-colored backpack — possibly navy blue or black, the release states.

The suspect fled toward the back door of the home, and the resident gave chase, "firing several warning shots into the ground in an attempt to scare him off," the release states. The man exited the home and fled into a nearby open field.
