According to police, 32-year-old James Dorcilien stabbed his former employer, 65-year-old Louis Rivera, outside of Rivera's apartment during a confrontation.
Rivera discharged his weapon in self-defense as Dorcilien fled on foot, police add. Officers later found Dorcilien's body at the apartment complex.
