When officers arrived, they spoke to a store clerk who said that a man with a mask entered the store and passed a note saying he had a gun and wanted the store’s money, according to Sgt. Steve Stroud.
But the clerk confronted the would-be robber with a gun she had and the man fled the store without any money, Stroud said.
