WV: Resident Fires Warning Shot, Suspect Flees

At about 5:30 a.m., police heard what they believed were gunshots fired nearby. They learned a suspect forcibly entered a residence at Forest Hills Drive and that the resident, armed with a firearm, had confronted the suspect inside the home and ordered the suspect outside, Pifer said.

Outside the Forest Hills Drive home, the intruder became confrontational with the resident, who fired a shot into the air, before fleeing, Pifer said.
