A 77-year-old concealed-carry license holder fatally shot a would-be robber Saturday afternoon in Burnside on the South Side.
About 12:20 p.m., the man was in an open garage in the 500 block of East 89th Street when a vehicle pulled up in the alley and an armed male exited and demanded his belongings, Chicago police said.
And the old guy had a CCW which means he had the Illinois FOID card. That is the way to calm the neighborhood idiots. I bet some Momma, who just lost her meal ticket, it all upset, "cuz he din du nuffin". This way the Massahs of the city and Dah Feeb don't even get to "not prosecute". Problem all solved.
ReplyDeleteThe shooter will probably get sued for "baiting" the poor chi' with an open garage door and then shooting him over some mere property. Bet Cha.
This is a direct result of the HUUUUGE wealth gap in SF. I live in the Haight Ashbury since '05, been in the bay area since '90. This type of crime (poor man with no hope of ever being able to afford a luxury watch tries robbing a rich man who has several....) will only become more commonplace. It's simple math and simple human nature. For the Instructions on how we are going to fix this read Martin Luther King's "Where Do We Go From Here: Chaos Or Community?" Or don't & keep acting the fool & encouraging crime with a doomed economic policy. It really is that simple & it really is fixable. Good Luck to us all.
