Man will not be charged for self-defense shooting(OH)

NEWARK -- No charges were filed against a man who shot another in self-defense at a Madison Township residence this past week.

On July 22, Charles Glasmeier shot Andrew Sherman, who was dating the daughter of Glasmeier's girlfriend, at 3603 Fallsburg Road, Licking County Sheriff's Office Capt. Dave Starling said.

Sherman was flown by emergency medical helicopter to Wexner Medical Center at Ohio State University, where he was treated before being released Tuesday, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Sherman and a friend, who appeared to be under the influence, came to the residence and an argument ensued. The woman Sherman was dating came to the Fallsburg Road residence to avoid Sherman, Licking County Sheriff Randy Thorp said.
