AZ: Off Duty Officer Shoots two pit bulls
The off-duty officer said he attempted to get the dogs to leave his yard just before the shooting at around 11 a.m. Monday. "He tried to get the dogs to leave," said Enriquez. "He was concerned because he had kids in the house. He was concerned for their safety and his safety."
The off-duty officer told investigators that the dogs were aggressive. "They attacked him, and that's when he shot both of the dogs," says Enriquez. "We have contacted some neighbors who say these dogs have been aggressive in the past."
