A Houston Police Department officer was asleep in his north
Harris County townhome this morning when three men broke in. At least
one was armed.
The officer, who was off-duty, used his service weapon to shoot
the armed suspect. The invader was pronounced dead later at a hospital
nearby. The other suspects fled.
