According to the probable cause affidavit, the victim claimed that Guy and the other man confronted him as he was walking home from the Target shopping plaza and assaulted him, repeatedly punching him in the face.
During the struggle, the victim allegedly retrieved a firearm from his backpack and fired it in self-defense.
The Sheriff's Office said that surveillance footage from the scene revealed Guy fleeing while discarding what deputies identified as Lewis’s stolen iPhone 13. He was also allegedly seen removing a firearm from a cross-body bag before being apprehended by deputies.
