On September 30, 2020, at approximately 1:21 AM, GPD officers responded to the 4900 block of NW 20thStreet (Sorrento) in response to calls of shots fired and a report of 2 suspects attempting to break into an apartment. The victims in the apartment were not hurt during the incident. One bullet struck one of the victim’s room window. Another victim returned fire at the suspects during the incident. It is unknown if either suspect was injured. Detectives located multiple shell casings and bullet fragments in the roadway in front of the residence, in the driveway, near the front door, and also inside the residence. GPD detectives are following up on several leads concerning the suspects. The suspects have not been located at this time.
