MN: Innocent verdict for brandisher: "It was a long wait, but it had a good outcome for a Marshall man accused of assault and terroristic threat charges. After more than five hours of deliberation, a jury found Berlon Curry of Marshall innocent of charges of second degree assault-liability for crimes of another and second degree terroristic threats-liability for crimes of another. Curry was found guilty of possession of a handgun without a permit, a misdemeanor charge. Curry had pleaded innocent to all three of the charges, which came as the result of a shooting incident in the parking lot of a Marshall apartment complex in March 2009. During Friday's portion of the trial, Curry's defense had argued that Curry did show a gun to another person in an attempt to scare him, but in self-defense after being assaulted."
