NEWARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) — An off-duty Newark police officer shot and killed a robber at the store where he was working as a security guard Sunday afternoon.
Just after 3 p.m. Sunday, the veteran officer was arriving for work as a security guard at the Twin City Supermarket, at 611 Broadway in Newark, only to find that the store was being robbed by a gun-wielding bandit.
