FL:Homeowner Kills Recently Released Criminal

MELBOURNE, Fla. —A man who allegedly broke into a Melbourne home was killed Sunday morning when the homeowner shot him, police said.

 The man was released from state prison less than a month ago and had a lengthy criminal history, said Sgt. Michael Casey of the Melbourne police.
