Another Detroit justifiable homicide. DeJesus was a member of the Latin Counts street gang, but the shooting was not said to be gang related:
After a month of investigating, the fatal shooting of 19-year-old Andres de Jesus along the Cinco de Mayo Parade on May 4 has been ruled self defense, The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office announced Wednesday.
"It has been determined that the person in question acted in lawful self-defense of another person because at the time he acted he reasonably believed that another person was in danger of imminent death or serious bodily harm," Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy's office said.
