A Frankfort man says he was protecting his grandchildren from a being kidnapped when he shot a stranger on Saturday evening.

Redmon told LEX 18 that he was working in the yard outside of his home
on Bellemeade Drive, when an intoxicated stranger walked up his driveway
and approached Redmon's three grandchildren, ages 4 to 8.
