AL: Domestic - Officer Shoots Former Boyfriend who Broke Door

According to a press release sent to News 5, the officer's former boyfriend arrived at her home around 1:00am and forcefully attempted to get in. While police officers were en route to the scene, the ex-boyfriend broke down the door and got inside.

As stated in the press release, the off-duty officer -- stated as this case's victim -- fired several shots at her ex-boyfriend, with one bullet injuring his leg.
