MI: Detroit Intruder Shot by Homeowner

DETROIT -

Authorities say a 21-year-old man was shot Monday when he broke into a home on Detroit's east side.

Police say a 29-year-old woman was upstairs when someone broke into her house in the 5500 block of University Place. Her brother was downstairs on the couch, and she heard shots fired at around 3:40 a.m.

 UPDATE: source says that the home owner shot the intruder. Intruder is 21yo and is listed in critical condition.
