WV: Home Invader Shot

The couple went into the living room to see what happened when the front door was forced open again, and a white man and a black man came inside. The identities of the suspected burglars have not been released.

When the suspects saw the pistol the husband held, they fled, Humphreys said. The husband fired a shot, striking the black man as he ran. The suspect continued along Cross Lanes Drive but fell. Deputies found him and medics with the Kanawha County Emergency Ambulance Authority took him to an area hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
