The property owner advised deputies that he had been asleep and was
awakened by burglars’ actions inside the building. When the burglars
became aware of the owner’s presence in the building they ran in his
direction. The owner could see that they were armed with a long gun and
he, also being armed with a shotgun, fired two rounds in their
direction, killing one of the burglars and wounding the other.
