Followup MT: Hung Jury in Stiffler Intruder Shooting Case
After about 12 hours of deliberation, a hung jury was announced in the James Stiffler case.
Stiffler shot and killed Henry Thomas Johnson in May 2013 after he found Johnson burglarizing his home.
At the time of the shooting, Johnson was alone in Stiffler's home on Canyon Ferry Road.
Stiffler's defense attorneys said that his actions were due to fear of assault and concern for the safety of his wife.
Prosecutors claimed that Johnson was fleeing the residence when he was shot.
