CA: Gunfight, Defender Wounded, 1 of 2 Home Invaders Killed

A resident in the Shoreview neighborhood of San Mateo shot two intruders in a gun battle that occurred during a home invasion late Wednesday night, killing one, police said yesterday.


The resident was also shot, but survived and is recovering from his wound, San Mateo police Deputy Chief Mike Callagy said at a news conference at police headquarters yesterday morning.
