Investigators say 25-year-old Jeremy Herrera and 45-year-old Ray Herrera were inside the house when two suspects broke in. Police say one of the suspects shot Jeremy in the leg. The suspects stole multiple items inside the home before running from the scene.
As the suspects were fleeing, that’s when police say one of the victims began firing at them, striking one of them. Both suspects were able to make it inside a vehicle where the injured suspect was driven to Covenant and left. He suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries.
