At about 1:48 a.m. on Sunday morning, August 11, a 35-year-old man and some family members were at a bar near the 4800 block of South Flores, but were thrown out, the SAPD said. Police later clarified that the man was in an altercation with multiple people people.
The man and family members left the bar in separate vehicles and drove down the street before puling over to talk to each other near the 9800 block of Collin Grove. While talking, the SAPD said those other people had followed them from the bar, pulled up to the scene and started beating the man with a baseball bat. That's when the man’s sister pulled out a gun and started shooting toward her brother's attackers, according to the SAPD.
