On Tuesday, deputies from the HCSO, along with Henry County Public Safety, responded to 84 Sand Stone Court in Axton, Virginia, for a report of a gunshot victim around 11:35 p.m.
When they arrived, first responders said they found a man, later identified as 46-year-old Ronald W. McGugan, suffering from a gunshot wound. Officials said he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials said the shooting occurred after an argument with his brother and other family members.
