Huge victory for gun owners in Georgia

Anti-gun Republican goes down in flames at the polls.  Long-time gun-grabber Judy Manning defeated by member of Georgia Gun Owners

Kennesaw,GA – Today, the more than 20,000 members and supporters of Georgia Gun Owners are celebrating the victory of pro-gun champion andmember of Georgia Gun Owners, Charles Gregory, in House District 34 (Kennesaw/Marietta).

His opponent, 16-year incumbent Judy Manning, who held one of the most anti-gun records of any Republican in the Georgia General Assembly, paid for heranti-freedom agenda with her legislative seat last night.

As a 501(c)(4) non-profit organization,Georgia Gun Owners is not allowed to endorse, support or oppose candidates, however, we are allowed to discuss the record of candidates.  And that's exactly what Georgia Gun Owners did over the last 2 months in House District 34.

Georgia Gun Owners blanketed the district for the last two months with mail, email and fliers laying out for voters Judy Manning's anti-gun record.

"This was the biggest victory for gun owners in the entireState of Georgia.

We know most Democrats in the legislature are hostile to our gun rights, but so are many Republicans.  And the more of these anti-gun Republicans who are out of office, the better off gun owners will be in the future"said Patrick Parsons, Executive Director of Georgia Gun Owners.

Charles Gregory pledged that he would be a 100% pro-gun champion in the legislature by returning his Georgia Gun Owners Candidate Survey 100% in favor of our gun rights.  On the other hand, Judy Manning returned her survey riddled with anti-gun answers.

"Judy Manning thumbed her nose at her constituents, gun owners and those Georgians who want smaller government.

We're looking forward to the 2014 Republican primary elections already.  We'll be watching how the Republicans act in the next two sessions of the General Assembly, and if they do nothing or do something that is anti-gun, some of them could face the same political fate as Judy Manning did last night, " said Patrick Parsons.
