(SC) Man breaks into home with machete, gets shot

Conway police are investigating a home invasion that happened early Tuesday morning at a home in the 1600 block of 9th Avenue.  Shortly before 6:00 a.m., Conway police officers were called to the home in reference to a shooting. When officers arrived, a man was lying in the living room floor of the residence with what appeared to be a gunshot wound.  Officers then spoke with the homeowner who told them that he was asleep when he awoke to find someone standing by his bed holding a machete.
