WI:Concealed carry law prevented road rage injury
WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) - A Tuesday road rage incident handled by Wausau police appears to have been minimized because the victim carried a legal handgun. An Appleton man was traveling on highway 29 heading into Wausau from the west when the vehicle he passed accelerated and rammed his vehicle from behind. The driver contacted 9-1-1, which advised him to meet the officer at the Menards parking lot. The man was followed by the attackers, who got out and attempted to beat him and use their keys as a weapon to injure him. That’s when the man pulled his gun, and the attackers backed off.
