KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -
A 15-year-old boy tried to break into a Kansas City store with a hammer, but wound up being shot by the owner who was there after hours, police said.
The boy, who was shot in the stomach, is expected to recover, police said.
This happened about 1:30 a.m. Friday at the Snack Pack convenience store, which is near East 45th Street and Prospect Avenue.
