STONEVILLE, N.C. -- Rockingham County Sheriff's Office deputies are investigating after a homeowner shot at a suspect during a home invasion early Saturday morning.

Christopher told deputies he fired a shot at the intruder who was armed
with a hammer. He said the intruder fled the home and yelled to another
subject outside to get in the car.
