A clerk prevented a robbery at an Okatie convenience store late Wednesday by pulling a gun on a man armed with a knife.

While the man searched through the bank bag the clerk had been holding,
the clerk grabbed her handgun, the release said. The robber ran and
the clerk locked the store, then called law enforcement.
