Jeffery Ellison, 18, is accused of trying to rob the Laundro-Mania using a hammer just before 11 p.m. Saturday.
The owner got his gun and shot twice, hitting Ellison in the leg.
"We've
actually been looking for this guy. We didn't know his identity yet but
we had some surveillance video. He'd broken into this laundromat two
other times to do the same thing, to steal coins out of the machines.
We're happy that he got caught," Dayton Police Sgt. Eric Sheldon said.
