Miami FL: "Little Haiti" Gun Turn (buy back) a Bust

Two shotguns, three rifles at the Phoenix event

"Buy back" is a propaganda term, as the guns were never owned by the people who buy them at these events.  I should not be surprised that a gun turn in event held by Miami Police in "Little Haiti" did not net much in the way of results.   It was not well advertised.   I routinely search for such events, and I missed it.   It was held for only four hours on Saturday, which is not that unusual, but it is unusual for the event to be so poorly advertised that I did not find it on the net.

Scholars have concluded that such events have virtually no impact on crime.   The guns are not the guns used in crimes, and the people who turn in the guns are not criminals.

The take, according to local10.com:
Miami police said three shotguns, two rifles and a handgun were turned in Saturday.
The commenters at the site made fun of the waste of police resources:
County wrote: How many of the guns turned in were actually used in shootings and armed robberies in South Florida?
WhenYouSayTaco replied: None. They never are. They probably spent $3,000 in police overtime to host it and nobody showed up. You and I paid for that....
You know that the political theater is not working when the comments on the event are universally derisive and sarcastic.

At least none of them said:  Its for the Chilrin...
