The Olympian reports the following, but the comments later are more illuminateing:
A man told police he shot another man twice because he felt
threatened during a dispute in downtown Olympia about 11:30 p.m.
Thursday night.
From the comments:
"I have it recorded...The man was acting in self defense. He was
co-operative and screaming for help as the "victims" engaged him yelling
stupid gang rhetoric.. i also witnessed the whole exchange. Not 10
minutes before, i also witnessed the men fighting others and an actual
confrontations behind capitol theater.. I am a musician and had audio
recording the whole time... The man with the weapon was assisting a
young girl who just had her things stolen by vagrents and they tried
jumping him.. just so you know, the guy was screaming for help, not
the Vic but the man who discharged the weapon... crazy"
