AZ: Bondsmen risk death While arresting Bond Jumper

Sgt. Trent Crump said a witness had called the bond company and provided the suspect's location. The 47-year-old suspect was wanted on a warrant for aggravated assault and a weapons violation with a revoked bond.

Crump said the suspect was found hiding in a bedroom closet and he opened fire on two of the bondsmen who had entered the room.

The suspect was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. Crump said his identity will be released once he is booked into jail.

One bondsman was grazed in the head with a round, but no one else was injured.
