State police say a homeowner on County Route 55 was sitting at a
campfire with two women around 1:30 a.m. when they saw a man standing
behind the house.
The homeowner went inside for a firearm and confronted the other man
when he came back out. The two men fought and the homeowner was stabbed
several times in the shoulder with an unknown weapon.
The homeowner fired one round from his firearm at the other man, who fled into the woods.
