TX: Intruder shot, Investigation Ongoing

GALVESTON – A San Leon man was shot to death after allegedly forcing his way into a Bacliff residence and lunging at the homeowner with a knife, a Galveston County Sheriff's Office spokesman said Monday.

Sheriff's deputies found the body of Jerry Dewayne Hocutt, 44, in the living room of a home in the 4100 block of Roberts Lane shortly after 1 a.m. Monday, sheriff's Capt. Michael Benavides said.
