WV: Woman Shoots Shotgun at Fleeing Thief

Linda says she told him to leave her property, but instead of complying, she says the suspect just stared back at her and laughed.

She says that was the worst possible response he could've given.

"Cuss me out, threaten me, whatever," the 52-year-old said. "Do not laugh at me."

Linda ran back into the house, but not out of fear.

She grabbed her .410 shotgun and loaded it.

She came back outside and spotted the thief, but this time he wasn't laughing.

"I called him a bad name, and when I shot, he started screaming and running," she said. "I think I may have powdered him some."
