This is a clear case of self defense. instead of getting arrested they should have had to call the coroner. why would anyone take the chance of getting knifed when they are armed with a firearm? if the first shot does not knock the knife out of the attackers hand the next shot should blow his brains out. Stand your ground means exactly that do not let them get the first strike. the first strike could be all it takes to end your life. who needs to bleed to death waiting on the police to show up? You will not find one of my knives that is not sharp enough to cut down to an artery on the first pass of the blade. If you are not smart enough to put a tourniquet on your self you will bleed to death in less than ten minutes. problem is there are many places that you can not put a tourniquet on. In that case it required direct pressure. then what if you can not reach that area? the more blood you lose the less pressure you can apply. your blood pressure drops fast.
