Followup MI: Home Invasiion Suspect commits Suicide in Jail Cell

GREENLEAF TOWNSHIP, MI (WNEM) -

One of the men charged in the Sanilac County home invasion that happened Sunday morning hanged himself in jail, the Sanilac County Sheriff's Office said.

Stephen Shimmel, 47, of Flint, was found hanging in the corner of his cell on Nov. 21, the sheriff's office said.
