Followup PA: More on Decision to not Prosecute Weimert Shooting

At issue was the killing of James R. Weimert on Nov. 12. Investigators said Weimert was shot by Michael Yeaple during a fight after their vehicles collided at East Philadelphia and North Pine streets.

At least one witness described the shooting as a case of self-defense.

In a statement from its spokesman, Kyle King, the DA's office said it was basing its decision not to prosecute on a review of the police investigation, along with statements from officers and eyewitnesses, on cell phone video of the incident and on ballistics and medical reports.
